Information, not advice

Gov Contract Index republishes the federal contract award record and organises it by company, agency and place of performance. It is provided for general information. It is not legal, financial, procurement or investment advice, and it is not a due-diligence report. Deciding whether to team with a company, extend it credit or protest an award is work that rests on documents this site does not hold.

What the figures are

Every amount on this site is obligations net of de-obligations: money an agency committed under a contract, less money it later released. It is not revenue, not profit, not cash received and not a measure of a company's size or standing. A figure on a page for a parent company counts its subsidiaries; a figure for a single entity does not; every page says which of the two it is showing. Place of performance is where the work was reported as done, which is frequently not where the company is registered.

Accuracy

We show the date each page's data was last loaded. Agencies correct and re-report awards continuously, and a correction can take effect before we have seen it. We make no warranty that any page is complete, accurate or current; the authoritative record is the one USAspending.gov publishes, and the authoritative document is the contract itself.

Nothing here is a statement about conduct

A listing records that an agency obligated money to a company. It is not an endorsement, and it is not an allegation: it says nothing about performance, compliance, debarment or any dispute. Do not read the presence, absence or size of a figure as a judgement about anyone.

Use of the site

You may use the site for personal and business research. You may not scrape it at volume or republish substantial parts of it. Automated access is limited to reasonable rates. This does not restrict the underlying data, which is a work of the US Government and in the public domain — take it from USAspending.gov directly. Where we publish our own figures or charts under CC BY 4.0, that licence governs and nothing here takes it back.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ospan is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content, including any commercial decision taken on the strength of a figure shown here. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places our liability is limited to the extent permitted.

Links to other sites, including referral links, are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices. Advertising and referral placements are labelled and never change the data shown or the order it is shown in.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; continued use after a change is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
